Funded PhD Position in Climate Risk Governance

Dr. Nicolas Choquette-Levy is recruiting a PhD student to join the Climate Adaptation Models for Policy (CAMP) Lab at Penn State University, with a start date in Fall 2025. Applicants should have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in natural or physical sciences, engineering or mathematics; with research interests in one or more of the following topics:

  1. Smallholder farmer climate adaptation
  2. Decision-making and climate risk
  3. Climate change and human migration
  4. Computational modelling to inform climate adaptation policy

Full tuition and stipend support will be provided. Students that have a demonstrated interest in interdisciplinary research and in combining community-based research with computational modelling will be especially good fits for the CAMP Lab. Students from underrepresented backgrounds are especially encouraged to apply.
